Reminder: Clean up after your dog!
It hardly needs to be said. We hesitate to even mention it. But, looking around the neighborhood, it is clear that a reminder is necessary:
Please clean up after your dog
You know why it's important, but anyway here are some excerpts from a a public health document distibuted by Metro:Simply cleaning up after your dog in public places and on private property not only helps keep areas clean and hygienic, failure to do so leaves a mess for someone else to clean up, or step in!and
Health concerns are also a big motivation to clean up after your dog. There are many parasites that can be transmitted to humans via dog feces (roundworms, tapeworms, etc.). Other pathogens that can be transmitted to humans via dog feces include strains of the bacteria E. coli, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, and Listeria, to name just a few.

Lost Puppy
Pam Boylan has found a lost puppy:
A little reddish brown puppy came up with my dog Haley today. She is in my screened-in porch now. She has the best disposition! My neighbor Kim came over and the pup just sat belly up on Kim for what seemed like forever. Very loving little girl. Jameson has taken to calling her Penny, but mommy doesn't want another dog right now! Soo...if you have lost a little dog or are looking to have a new friend in your home, this girl is for you. She is really precious!

If you're not the co-ordinating type, think about what you can do to improve the appearance of the neighborhood as you're out, walking around, enjoying the Spring weather: keep a bag with you for stashing unsightly litter and tossing it away in the corner trash cans.

Pizza (and More) Delivery to Germantown
From Kim Unertl:
We recently tried out My Dad's Pizza after reading about it in a Salemtown blog. Their menu includes pizzas, subs, wings, and Middle Eastern specialities. One of the owners made the delivery himself - he and his brother own the restaurant and they've been open since last June. Both the pizza and the Middle Eastern dish we tried out were tasty, and it was nice to find someplace this good that delivers to our area. Thanks to Salemtown Mike for posting about this!Do you know of other restaurants that deliver to Germantown that we should mention here? Let me know!

Mark your calendars, and see you there!!!
A bit o Cajun humor to get you going:
Boudreaux and Thibodeaux were once again spending Saturday night at the City Bar, and after several hours of steady drinking, Thibodeaux suddenly fell backwards off of the bar stool and onto the floor, passed out cold. Boudreaux looks at Thib, looks up at the bartender, and remarks, "Dat's what I like about Thibodeaux. He knows when he done had enough to drink."
