Road Work--Take care where you park

W.L. Hailey Construction Company has informed the neighborhood of the upcoming paving project to smooth the roadways disturbed by the recent water line work. Milling will begin Monday March 6, 2006, with paving to follow. Work will begin at 8th and Buchanan (Salemtown), proceed toward 5th, south on 5th to Madison, continuing on Madison in both directions until completion. All paving should be completed in the Germantown area within two (or so) weeks. On most days, work will start between 7 and 8 AM and continue until 5 PM. Use your judgment in parking on the street around these times; provided that if your car is left on the street during milling or paving operations on your street, the contractor may attempt to knock on your door or may tow the vehicle -- no parking notices have been posted and will continue to be posted during the project.
