July Performances at the Nashville Jazz Workshop

Just wanted to give you a list of what is happening in July at the Jazz
Workshop. Mark your calendars for some great stuff.
Our next Snap on 2 and 4 will be July 8th, advance purchase
recommended, this is sure to sell out. We will be in the office on
Tuesday, July 5th. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend! Take care

July 8th
Jack Pearson, Roger Spencer, Lori Mechem, Jim White with special guest,
Tom Cherry! $10.00/ half price for students with IDs.

July 9th - Watertown Jazz Festival- ALL DAY
Located on the square downtown Watertown. Check for lineup. This is one
of the greatest Jazz Festivals in the south. Please support it so it
doesn't go away!!! The event is free and open to the public.

July 10th - CD Release for Rahsaan Barber, Moe Denham and Robert Bond
7pm in the Cave. Free and open to the public

July 17th - Jazz on Jefferson "A Tribute to Charles Dungey" MARK YOUR

CALENDARS!!!!!!
The Essense Room located at 1511 Jefferson Street will be hosting a
scholarship concert to raise money for the Charles Dungey Memorial
Scholarhip Fund at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. Doors open at 4:30pm,
music begins at 5:00pm. NJW Trio will be performing in the lobby
featuring receiptients of the Dungey Scholarship. This will be an
all-star concert featuring Beegie Adair, Rahsaan Barber, John Birdsong,
Chris Brown, Abby Burke, Jeff Carr, Jeff Coffin, Moe Denham, Derrick
Wayne Dowell, Bruce and Sandra Dudley, Jim Ferguson, Liz Johnson,
Lori Mechem, Rick Reed, Denis Solee, Annie Sellick, David "Smitty"
Smith, Roger Spencer, Chester Thompson, Rock Williams and many more.
$10.00 admission at the door. Food and cash bar available. Silent
Auction will open at 4:30pm.

July 18th thru 21st
Student performances all week! Free and open to the public

July 22nd - Snap on 2 and 4

July 31st
Dick Sisto and Joe Locke- SPECIAL PERFORMANCE!!!!
2 nationally known vibes players will be performing in the Jazz Cave at
7pm.

This concert will be a Retrospective of famous jazz Vibe players such
as Milt Jackson, Lionel Hampton, Red Norvo, Gary Burton, Bobby
Hutcherson and Mike Mainieri. They will be joined by Beegie Adair,
Roger Spencer.
