Mail Theft Alert:

Mail Theft Alert: Late Tuesday night (02/21/06), I witnessed a suspect stealing
mail from a neighbor’s mailbox. Metro non-emergency line was called, but the
individual disappeared before Metro arrived and subsequent patrols of
neighborhood did not produce a suspect. Description: AA Female, 5’4”-5”5”
portly build, dark hooded parka jacket. Admittedly, this incident may be
isolated. However, if your mail has been tampered with or stolen recently,
please voice up, so US Postal Inspectors can be called to investigate. Federal
agents tend to have a stronger impact than Metro Police on such issues. Also,
take all precautions to protect yourself from identity theft. We’ve noticed a
dramatic spike in the number of people rummaging through trash cans and
recycling bins on the Taylor Street alley the past 30 days.

HGNA's Valentine's Party for the Children

The Valentine's Party was organized to connect families with smaller
children within the neighborhood with hope of building long-term
relationships. The children participated in bag making for their
valentines, cookie decorating and play time. It was a great time and
successful in that play dates were made, sitters were acquired and great fun was had by all!!
